Living Room Make-over at Residence, Trivandrum, Kerala. Ref : DHP24001

The task was to redesign the living space of this residential villa, with the flexibility to change the furniture if needed.

 

Our design approach involved selecting a sofa style, color, and size that would complement the relatively small living area. We recommended removing the awkwardly positioned pooja mandir and replacing the half curtains with full-length ones to introduce a modern touch to the villa, which is over 30-40 years old. The bulky chest of drawers in the corner, topped with a TV, was entirely removed, and we suggested a corner stand for décor, which opened up the space and eliminated the cluttered feel. Additionally, we proposed a new rug and recommended relocating the cabinet with the Krishna idol, resulting in the ‘After’ pictures you see here.
